Nice to meet you, I have a dream of a world nurtured by organic agriculture and where fair trade is the common sense. This blog is an online library to keep track of the most relevant reports that I’ve consulted on the topic. On the one hand posts will be linked to agro-chemicals, or industrial agriculture. On the other hand, posts will be linked to what could be a viable sustainable alternative, agro-ecology. With this blog I like to share the ideas of people that are sharing this dream and are an inspiration in my daily endeavours. On this spot you will also find some of the texts I have written to better understand the subject. I’m looking forward to receive your feedback, in order to grow my insight and make this dream come true.
By the way, I’m Frederic Ghys, the last 5 years I have worked as an analyst of the ‘corporate social responsibility’ of multinationals. When I’m not out running in nature, or trying to grow some juicy tomatos, you can find me wandering through the writings of Arne Naess, Arundathi Roy, Vandana Shiva, Peter Sloterdijk, Amartya Sen, … . Drinking apple juice or beer with my friends, marvelling through museums, or having passionate discussions.
